The immensely popular musical Sunny Afternoon transfers to the West End’s Harold Pinter Theatre, following a successful run at Hampstead Theatre.

It’s July 30th 1966 and as Bobby Moore lifts the World Cup, 100,000 fans in Wembley are signing The Kinks’ smash hit, Sunny Afternoon. But how did that happen? How did the group end up not only taking over America, but also getting banned from playing there in the peak of their fame?

All these questions plus many more are answered as the story of battling brothers Ray and Dave Davies, Pete Quaife and Mick Avory hits the stage in this highly praised and exciting production. The musical features some of the band’s classic songs and promises to take audiences into the fascinating lives of the band members and 60’s backdrop Britain.
